Born in Malta shortly before the wartime siege of the island, John Alfred Sherry always dreamt of a life of adventure.

After taking up a telecoms apprenticeship, Sherry found himself enjoying London during the Swinging Sixties, learning the trade and innovating along the way. The birth of his son was the catalyst he needed to take life more seriously than ever before and he soon found himself nurturing ambitions to run his own company.

Fast-forward 14 years and Sherry was heading a successful South Africa-based international business, JASCO Electronics, overseeing multi-million pound contracts and employing hundreds of people.
